For staff, trustees, and volunteers alike, one of the great pleasures of representing the NSWaS message in the UK is the chance it affords to take visitors from this country to see the work of the village in person. These visits also provide significant benefit to the village, which relies on tourism for much-needed revenue. Sadly, the events of the past eighteen months have precluded such visits. We are very pleased to announce, therefore, that we are now planning the 2022 All Faiths Visit.

Attendees will be based in the village, staying at the guesthouse, and will get a chance to see all its educational institutions first-hand, and to learn from staff about the unique educational model employed by the village.

The trip will also offer the chance to learn about the role of interfaith work in Israel-Palestine, with activity-packed trips to Akko, Jerusalem, and Ramle, featuring eminent speakers working in inter-faith.

We are delighted that you are interested in accompanying us on our next trip to the village and hope the following information gives you all you need to make the decision to register. Further clarification or information not provided here can be obtained by contacting Oasis of Peace UK Director Jack Omer-Jackaman on 020 8952 4717 or at [email protected]

  • Attendees will stay at the Neve Shalom-Wahat al-Salam hotel. Oasis of Peace UK will secure your reservation, but you will be responsible for settling your bill on departure. Double rooms are priced at 150 US Dollars per night (including breakfast) and single rooms 135 US Dollars. The trip will involve some lunches and dinners in the village, priced at 25 US Dollars per meal.

  • Attendees are responsible for booking their own flights to Israel's Ben Gurion airport and should aim to arrive by the afternoon of Sunday 6th November at the latest. Several airlines operate flights from the UK from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Luton.

  • Attendees are responsible for their own onward transportation to Neve Shalom-Wahat al-Salam (a journey of 40 minutes by taxi) but the Oasis of Peace UK office will be delighted to assist and co-ordinate taxi sharing where feasible.

  • In addition to the hotel and flight costs, the trip involves a cost of £450 to cover off-site meals and the costs of off-site activities. This programme fee should be paid in two installments: a deposit of £200 to be paid via our website on registration, with the balance of £250 to be paid either by BACS or cheque no later than 1st October 2022.
  • At time of writing, Israel is not requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test to enter the country. It does require the filling out of an entry form prior to arrival and attendees are advised that these requirements are subject to change depending on the national Covid situation at the time of the trip.

  • Attendees are also reminded that while the vast majority of travelers enjoy entirely safe and trouble-free visits to the country, the security situation is subject to periodic escalation. Oasis of Peace UK will monitor this aspect and will follow all UK Foreign Office guidelines in the planning of the trip. Attendees will also likely have seen our own coverage of the fact that the village has itself been subject to two arson attacks since September 2020, since which time the village has instituted enhanced security protocols.

  • Availability for this trip is limited and attendance will be allocated on a strictly first-come-first-served basis. A place is secured by completing registration and paying the deposit on the link below. Once all places are filled, the website will not allow further registration. If you would like to discuss the trip with us before completing this process, please contact our Director Jack Omer-Jackaman on 020 8952 4717 or at [email protected]
