Oasis of Peace UK at the Park Theatre

On Thursday February 7th 2019, Oasis of Peace UK packed out the Park Theatre, Finsbury Park with a 120-strong audience for the exciting new play Rosenbaum's Rescue.

Ali Bodin Saphir's moving and thought-provoking drama, which has received a string of 5-star reviews from broadsheet newspapers, centres on the remarkable rescue of the Jews of Denmark during the Holocaust.

The play also had a strong message protesting the contemporary growth in intolerance towards minorities, evident in even the most liberal democracies. In his Q and A with Oasis of Peace after the play, Ali stressed how this important theme made Oasis of Peace particularly appropriate guests given their support of NSWaS and its work championing equality for all in Israel.

The Park were fantastic hosts for a truly wonderful night for our organisation, as we welcomed new friends and raised a terrific total of £9000.

We thank all our guests for their valued and generous support.
