Like many of you, Oasis of Peace UK is deeply concerned by the tragic and horrifying events unfolding in Israel and the Gaza Strip. 

We are in close touch with the Village and are pleased to confirm that the Village is not directly impacted by terrorist activity. Although many residents have lost family and friends. We will continue to issue updates, and hope for a peaceful resolution.

A message from the Village:

We are mourning the thousands of dead on both sides and praying for the safety of the hostages. In the meantime, we are working together to heal our own wounds and those of our children and our friends, we are working together to increase the safety of our village, rethinking our activities and recommitting ourselves to showing the way toward peace and respect for all human life.

Alongside this message of hope, I'd like to announce the start of our urgent appeal to enhance their personal security and prioritize the well-being of their children.

We remain dedicated to advocating for a solution rooted in dialogue and understanding because of the village and all its incredible work. We stand in solidarity with our Israeli partners, both Jewish and Arab Palestinian, in the pursuit of a shared future. And this dream is not just desirable; it’s achievable, one step at a time, if we dare to challenge the reductive narratives that blind us and instead choose to embrace the complexity of our shared humanity.
