Just days after we brought you the terrible news of a devastating fire at the School for Peace, we are deeply saddened to have to report that a second blaze has occurred, this time at the Fred Segal Peace Library.

During the night of 6/9/20 residents were awoken by the library's alarm and discovered the building in flames. Firefighters and police responded quickly and the fire was put out. The library has sustained damage and several pieces of art in its Oasis Gallery have been destroyed.

This peaceful community, a model for coexistence between Israeli Jews and Arab-Palestinians for over forty years, is now living in fear that it is being targeted by perpetrators opposed to its work.
